The Old Goldfields Orchard and Cider Factory is the home of Reef Apple Cider. Reef Cider is made using fresh apples grown right here in our own orchard. Visit them to taste the wonderful ciders, pick your own fruit, learn about the orchard's gold mining history and see the aquaculture operation (marron, silver perch and trout). A great day out for the family, located between Donnybrook and Capel, and easy and lovely drive from the beachside Peppermint Tree Lodge home accomodation. |

| Capel Vale began as a hobby for Sydney radiologist Dr Peter Pratten and his wife Elizabeth when they purchased land on the Capel River between Bunbury and Busselton in 1974. This vineyard, Stirling Estate, is the site of the winery, restaurant and cellar door tasting area. The winemaking philosophy is to make intensely fruit driven, complex, powerful, yet elegant wines, from the best regions in Western Australia. Take a drive from your stylish beachfront Peppermint Tree Lodge home to the Cellar Door at Capel Vale where the friendly staff will guide you through the selection of wines available for tasting and sale. A visit to Capel Vale is well rewarded with the opportunity to sample and enjoy the range of wines while browsing through the large selection of Capel Vale merchandise and taking in the Stirling Estate vineyard panorama. There is ample parking and they are wheel chair friendly. And after a day out, why not take a bottle or two of your favourite wines home to sample while you soak in the spa or sit back by the fire. |

After early searches for good vineyard land in the Margaret River area in early 1997, Jeff and Kerry Ovens identified this little piece of paradise in the Ferguson Valley just south of Dardanup as the site for their vineyard and winery. The property had a one hundred year history as a dairy farm. Jeff & Kerry found willing partners in the Stacey and Hewitt families and they set about planning the vineyard with the aim of producing top quality wines. Our only justification now is "quality of life" … "the pleasure of producing something worth its weight in gold" knowing that it also costs as much. Wonderful wines with a restaurant to match. Take a short drive from your luxury beachfront accomodation (Peppermint Tree Lodge, of course!) for a long relaxed lunch accompanied by premium Southwest Western Australian wines. | Peter and Anne McDermott of Geographe Wines established Kellivale Estate in 1991, commencing grape production in 1999 and wine production in 2002. A tranquil setting building and garden amongst old walnut trees. Grape growing, wine making and distribution is a family affair. Anne is the vineyard manager, Peter the winemaker, Danny and Courtney are arms and legs helpers turning their hands to many tasks. Family and friends help in all aspects from picking to packaging. Peter and Anne believe that the “perfect” grape produces beautiful wine. The vineyard, high in the Darling Scarp, on the Capel River has ideal conditions for “perfect” grape production. “We produce wine for food lovers wherever they are, we offer not only classic French wine styles but also Spanish, and Italian”. |
